I just read some very alarming news. Anybody in the field of law enforcement has the power to label you in a computer as a gang member. The part that really disturbs me is this requires no proof whatsoever. Not only does this leave room for error and corrupt decision but it also creates the possibility of ruining an innocent persons life. Once labeled as a gang member it will show up in any future employers computer who looks at your record which means your likelihood of getting the job is reduced to nothingness. This is one power all law enforcement officials have that I feel should only be reserved to the higher ups not only that but a form of proof should be instrumental to making the accusation.
