I just read this and my anxiety skyrocketed. I am not saying marriage is something to be taken lightly and I believe that it can be a sacramental marriage or not. However even if we believe and intend it to be sacramental and do not believe all this junk about romance sweeping us off our feet it does not always work. Sometimes we do not know what goes on behind closed doors and just because things look good and happy they may not be. Someone may choose to work for years giving all they can to save a marriage. But maybe following Gods love and direction leads to divorce. I believe God loves us more than we can even imagine loving our own children. I would not want my daughter to stay unhappy and not be able to reach her potential and God loves us more. God may support us and direct us to realize what is best. Teaching ourselves and children that once giving all we have and praying, truly praying, that maybe we may need to take a different road. I think more than buying into romance that settling can be more harmful and teach more negativity. I want my daughter to see two parents reaching their God given potential, understand what a marriage can be, and know how to truly love herself. Consider that sometimes a divorce may be the only way to provide that. Of course this is not an overnight decision that is to be taken lightly and is very difficult. However, remember that a decision like this is between you and God and not to be judged. God can lead people in ways we dont understand and maybe the person does not understand. But remember God knows the bigger plan and we dont. Just remember, maybe just maybe, God shows his direction in a way we dont expect but that it may be what each person especially our children need and deserve. Remember they are in this equation too. Sorry to ramble, but I felt that maybe we need to see both sides. So take it or leave it!
