I just realised something: I am a woman in the gamedev industry, and #1reasonwhy relates to me, somehow. I realised this, while I was checking out of my hotel a day after GDC and thinking about all the amazing, highly professional, super smart women that I just met, working at my own company. The women you meet in gamedev are top tier women, and it is as comforting and inspiring to be around them, as it is annoying to mingle with the women in more... ordinary (equally-gender-distributed) industries. This is just one reason why it is great to be a woman in gamedev: you get to know the elite of your gender. I need a hashtag thats about the good things.
