I just realized Im getting hungry... and... and... why isnt American animation ever as good as Japanese? Anime tells some really great stories with awesome characters. In my humble opinion, its because in the US we think of animation as childrens territory, and not a medium for any other story telling except children/family type stuff. The only thing for me that comes close to any of the great anime out there is Avatar The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Even then they are both anime style and in TLOK they pay huge homage to Hayao Miyazaki.
