I just realized something tonight, or something FINALLY dawned on me. I attended the Military Memorial Service for my Syd. Honor Flight WWII Vet. When I got home I had to deconstruct my Christmas tree. Clearly NOT a good/happy day for me. And on top of it my husband had a Business dinner. Halfway through my tree dismantling my phone rang. It was my 90+ year old Boyfriend in PA who served in the Pacific (in the Americal Division) alongside my Grandpa (Uncle Mike) ODea. While talking to Joe it dawned on me ... I NEVER wanted kids of my own. Clearly BECAUSE ... I need to be here for and of service to our Greatest Generation. OUR WWII Vets. That is my passion. That is my heart. RIP, Sydney Fishman.
