I just realized this. The Tarim mummies (look them up!) are mummies found in China with Caucasian ethnic features (face, hair color/texture) and artifacts (colorful cloths which resemble proto-tartan), far from other Caucasian peoples. The Tocharian languages are a pair of Indo-European languages found in China in which Buddhist scriptures were written, far from other Indo-European languages. Scholars have attempted to link the two, although theres a certain time gap between them (the mummies are older than Tocharian texts by a few hundred years). White people from Europe (broadly construed) wearing plaid and moving to China and later becoming Buddhist and writing stuff in a weird language. THE TARIM MUMMIES WERE THE FIRST HIPSTERS.
