I just received a summons for jury duty in Rolling Meadows. I was called 3 years ago. In the 80s I served on a jury for 2 weeks. They will never have me on a jury. Too much chance I would sway the other jurors, and have a stronger opinion than most other people on a jury. Which is of course true. At the Rolling Meadows courthouse it is also likely that I would know one of the attorneys on the case. I still have to appear. People often think that attorneys do a lot of jury trials. (and some do) I have done approximately 150 trials in my 25 plus year career and only 3 jury trials.
