I just received this in an email from a total stranger, but God networks people to encourage us at just the right time. Wow! I am so blessed! Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Thought for the day: It has been said before that I think I am super woman. I will tell you I am not. I may try to do things that I shouldn’t even attempt, and in those cases I look to HIM for my strength and guidance. Have you ever heard it said, “ I would rather attempt something great and fail at it than attempt nothing and succeed” ? In giving of myself, I have experienced torn ligaments, aches and pains, broken windows, dishes, lost friendships and even a broken heart. My continuation in life has been focused on that I can do everything through him who gives me strength. So when I fail at an attempt, it is He who gives me the strength to push forward and move on. And I trust that when I injure myself making an attempt to be super woman, He will at least provide the proper medical attention for me. I believe it was President Roosevelt that said: “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, and comes short again and again, because there is not effort without error and shortcoming; who does actually try to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, and spends himself in a worthy cause; who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly.” My father taught me to live doing this. During this Lenten season won’t you be that someone to make a difference. Don’t sit back and watch get involved, take a chance to be the person who can make a difference in this world. Everyone holds a dream in their heart. Take your dreams and then put them into action believing in Paul’s words from the verse today. “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” And I say, amen.
