I just sang a song to each of my kids as I tucked them into bed. A song I remember my Daddy singing to Sarah and I every once in a while 25+ years ago.I was impressed with myself that I remembered the whole thing. 3 verses and the chorus, and even remembered the chorus he wrote to remind us to pray for Mariatabu in Rawanda, the little boy our family sponsored back then. Been thinking a lot about him all evening now. Wondering if he stayed healthy and fed like our sponsorship was supposed to do for him, wondering if he survived the wars that started there after we received letters and cards from him, wondering if he had the opportunity to grow up and/or know Gods love like my Daddys song prayed for him; wondering if my prayer for him right now would be for a living person. Obviously hes on my heart for a reason tonight.
