I just saw a FB post advocating tracking the purchases of food stamp recipients. A comparison was made to grocers using club cards to track grocery purchases, which is completely unrelated to legislating more unnecessary laws to discriminate against the impoverished! This is obviously a faulty comparison because shoppers CHOOSE to be tracked by marketing gurus. They WILLFULLY exchange their privacy to receive coupons for items they buy. Food stamp recipients, however would not have a choice. This tracking system would also consume the labor of government that could be used to investigate fraud or child abuse. One more attempt to CRIMINALIZE POVERTY!!!
