I just saw a post on a friends page, about a big rock star back in the day. Wondering how he was feeling about playing small venues after performing in front of large arena crowds. Well im no rock star. But it is a hard thing to swallow, after being up high in your life and having everything you ever dreamed come true and in the palm of your hands. To fall from grace and to have to start that climb back up. But to succeed in making it back up we must believe we are not a victim of circumstance. That every person can be greater in heart and mind in every circumstance. But in order to be free, we must master our own habits. Because they have held us hostage in fear and anger and lead us to desperate things and committ thoughtless harm. But we can become a part of something greater than ourselfs, therefore finding part of ourselves. To take courage against fear and anger and be steady in your efforts. So that way what is waiting inside can grow and become strong and beautiful. Today Ill draw the strength from hurt and show my gratitude. I will strive to learn and conquer all that im running from, running to and WhY. I will exercise the virtues of honesty and honor in all I do.I will always maintain a solid demeanor and a positive attitude. Cause my manhood is a responsibility not a privilege. I will learn to be accountable and responsible for my words and actions. So as Im picking up the pieces and swallowing my foolish pride, just as he is doing playing small venues. I will remember it is the reward of the journey and not the destination I seek. As I will give back and pay respect to those who helped me to where I am today! GOD BLESS my family and friends!
