I just saw a recent post by a lady in which a brand is being raped over the usage of (or chapa) of Olper Lassi. Just want to point out that these chapas are quite common in all leading digital agencies as almost all the designers use websites such as gfxtra to speed up their work. I think it has to do with the budgets that digital agencies are allocated by brands compared to conventional agencies. With due respect, a gentleman was mentioning his advertising agency and boasting about ads of Nestle Fruita Vitals , however, he himself would know that his agency must have charged Nestle a fortune compared to Nestles digital agency. Since I have worked and currently am working at a digital agency, I know for a fact that the amount that Nestle would have paid for their ad and branding to MIdee (minus the media spend and buying), itna aik social media agency ki quarter ki bhi earning nahi hoti. I think it is natural that a designers working at a digital (or social media) agency would not be of the same level as someone sitting in MIdee or O&M or L&R frankly because the agency could not (a) afford them and (b) they are a shared resources working on 5-8 brands a day churning up 2 posts per brand (2 x 8 = 16 creatives/day). Moral: Brands should stop treating digital media as a bastard child of their marketing department and increase their budget. Creativity shall be inevitable. That is my thesis at least.
