I just saw a recipe on here that called for Green Giant Vegetables! Never, ever buy these items. According to the FDA they are fit for human consumption, as well as many other foods and products. The FDA has been trying for years to get these items band but we all know how our government works. Chicken, some types of infant formula, rice, etc, etc. fall into this same category. And, that is not all. As far back as the 1980s when the government started expanding Fort Drum there were problems. Such items as nails, screws, etc. were not any good. The government paid big dollars for the top of the line for these items. Years later, problems started turning up with many of the buildings, especially with the apartment units for soldiers and their families. What the government thought they were paying top dollar for was junk. Nails, screws, etc. were substandard from China but once they were here in the United States they were then put in boxes that said "Made in the United States." The only thing made in the United States were the boxes they were put in. If items say processed, packaged, etc, they were not made here. If you look in the "very fine print" which all forget to pay attention to, you will see that they actually were grown or made in China. Tilapia fish is one of the worse things you can buy and put in your body. They hang chickens on wire and trees over these ponds that the fish are in and the chickens are covered in human manure. There are pictures showing the tons of dead fish in these ponds that they are processing and sending back here. The smell is so rancid that workers are wearing masks to prevent becoming ill. You can find this information and much, much more if you go online and do a little research yourself.
