I just saw the default question in the comment box: What have you been up to? Well, one quick glance at my timeline or this page and its pretty easy to see that my focus has been communicating #GivingTuesday far and wide. If youre tired of reading about it, please forgive me. This event, however, is incredibly important ... not just to me but to every man, woman and child Heart of God International Ministries touches with the Gospel. To be totally honest, I would like nothing better than to know we could continue to reach into the remote tribal villages in India, the heart and homes of widows in Uganda, the unreached people groups in South Sudan, the men and women in the US Armed Forces, the poorest of the poor in Haiti ... and do it without asking for a penny. But, thats not the way God set things in order. He called some to go ... He called others to send. He called some to give ... He called others to administer the funds as He leads, meeting the needs of those who need to know Him and taste of His boundless love. So, please forgive me if Ive wearied you with my focus on #GivingTuesday. Its just one of those things that goes along with international ministry. I take no salary yet I dedicate 40-60 and more hours of work each week. I work out of my home using our family utilities and floorspace. I even donate into the ministry out of our personal funds. And, what is so amazing is that each one of the ministry leaders in the Heart of God International family does exactly the same thing! We have no buildings, no vehicles, no rent or mortgage, no utility bills, etc. This ministry is run by folks who believe in what we do so much that they all make personal sacrifices so the work can continue. #GivingTuesday is a day in which you can you join HGIMs leadership by giving out of your own resources so people who most likely will never meet can know the love of God and the power of the resurrection as the Gospel truth is being preached far and wide. When this year-end campaign is over, things will get back to normal and Ill focus on sharing testimonies and a few pictures now and then while I focus on sharing more personal updates.
