I just sent some random thoughts from my little corner of the festival near the athletes village, but it turned into a long (but not exhaustive) list so I thought I would post it here before it becomes a blur: 1) Running over to hug and have a cry with Beth DeForge who came to share her love with us after the shocking death of her husband Bob. 2) Listening to Bonnie Jeans beautiful voice singing during the flower ceremony, and crying some more. 3) Linda McMullen Rhoads and John J Lentine stayed calm and poised and patient with me no matter how hectic things got on their end. They made half of my job easy. 4) Athletes village DJ Jamie kept the athletes informed and entertained. He called teams to muster and provided music for the athletes and on request for entertainers and team songs. He made the other half of my job easy. 5) Walking through the athletes village to get stragglers to muster and seeing how much fun they were all having. 6) Seeing Peg Powers all dressed up for the spirit committee - I almost didnt recognize her! 7) Carol Young knows everything, can do anything and is great with people.
