I just spent the past few hours extracting all of my maternal daily history facebook postings for the entire year of 2014. Over the next several days Ill be rerunning my MATERNAL SIDE ONLY as of right now and updating and completing the rest of the year. Then I will be doing a COMPLETE REPOSTING of EVERY POST....Ive added several dozen relatives from this side of the family over the past six months.....With this being said, I may end up suspending the daily posting during the reposting phase. Prior to reposting I will be tagging all of those on the Shay/Siragusa sides. I may also include pictures (It depends how much more info. I have to add). Today I created another document w/150 pages and over 100,000 words, so its quite inclusive. I dont include many sources, as it takes up space and time, and I used all public resources...if you dont believe me - go do your own research. You may also see the progression of this project as some things early on may change by the end....this is the great thing abotu family research, some documents rank higher in value (or the likely truth) then others, ie. a marriage license application is filed by the actual person you are likely researching and it is most up to date, whereas a death certificate is less valuable compared to the above because its not the dead person telling the info and the person giving the info. is usually under stress and the info. may be inaccurate......a good example is my Grandpa Eugene Shays headstone from the VA, the month is wrong, because grandma missed it and signed off.....If you are going to get into and/or follow this, you MUST be willing to accept several different versions. Ive done my best to put out there all of my notes over my nearly 25 years of researching, so that maybe finding your story will be a little easier........
