I just spoke with Alexs nurse and she thinks he will come home today. They are waiting for the dr to make his rounds. I pray he gets those counts up. Please do not be offended if we keep him isolated. Theres a lot going around, and his health is the most important thing. The slightest cold, cut, or germ could be life threatening to him. We will do anything to keep him safe, healthy and happy. And if it means offending people, so be it. Until you walk in our shoes, dont judge. It broke my heart Thursday to see him so upset over being admitted. Last night he cried to come home and doesnt understand why he has to stay there when hes not getting chemo. In his eyes because he feels ok, hes not really sick, and then fear sets in that they will be doing tests or surgery again. Its overwhelming for us all sometimes but this is our current journey.
