I just spoke with County Commissioners Bob Thomas and and Ed Brantley (thanks to both of them for reaching out to the community and to Big Kahuna Wings for hosting). We discussed the decision by CC to have the KCS credit card audit done internally instead of externally. I explained the perception of Knox County citizens that, due to politics/shenanigans/BS involving Knox County politics and the Chamber of Commerce influence, nothing done internally would be trusted. They responded that if they heard those sentiments from the people they would bring it up and consider having the audit done externally. PLEASE contact all CC members and let them know this audit must be external or it means nothing! Sending an email takes 1 minute and it makes a huge impact, please do it. This issue is too important to not make our voices heard.
