I just spoke with Mr. Heller. He assured me that he has no problem with the stone being on the school grounds. The problem is that when it was edited, the words high school were left very prominent on the stone. And then Wearly delivered it right on the front sidewalk. So Mr. Heller said that, say for instance, youre a visiting team or committee or single visitor coming to the school. You think youre at the middle school, but the sign looks like its a high school. He says theres a Panther somewhere on the grounds, and he is not against having a memorial at all, since he was principal there three years and SHS is near and dear to his heart. He just doesnt want it right up front, and when he stated that, Wearly simply took it away. So this afternoon, I will call Rebecca Thomas who is principal at SMS. I will talk to her about having it installed somewhere other than right out front. So everybody just hang tight and lets defuse the energy about this, please
