I just started unpacking some boxes. Curious boxes that I havent opened in years. one of the things I found is this Letter. Written in 1966. Seasons Greetings to you and yours at Christmas Its that time of year again and the Alters have gotten their writing pad from the shelf, removed the dust and composed a letter to inform their friends of just what theyve been up to all year. The Princess of the Alter household will soon be 20 months old. Meg is quite petite; she stands about 32 inches and weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 19-20 pounds Meg spends most of her day playing with her favorite friend, her dog Snuffy. Sniffys about 8 months old and is part this and part that, but hes really quite cute. At any rate, they are great friends. Gene is now in his senior year and we believe this year will probably be a full one. There are many decisions to be made about where to go after graduation. No definite plans have been made. Karen is retired from the nursing world as of Oct. , 1966. Shes enjoying retirement and Megs enjoying having a full-time Mommy. Were expecting and addition to the family about mid July. Were all putting on a little weight for obvious reasons. We vacationed in North Carolina this summer. We spent about six days with the Summerlins in Charlotte. The mountains were very scenic and the entire trip was most enjoyable. Meg proved to be a very good traveler. Hope this finds you all well and enjoying the Holiday Season.
