I just thought of an interesting moral/political question I havent thought of before. Everyone always talks about these huge profound economic and social political issues, but this is a lot less volital. Building codes. For example, if Im building a house I have to use GFI in bathrooms and kitchens, outlets every so many feet, bedrooms have to be a certain size and have a closet to truely be a bedroom, fire regulations about roofs, I have to meet certain standards with plumbing, etc. When does that type of mundane government regulation fit in the grand scheme of politics? Ive never really thought about it much before, but with all the talk of big business regulations killing the economy, I have started to think about the little stuff we all tend to overlook. What do you guys think of home building refulations?
