I just took a breakfast break, found a wonderful surprise in my fridge. My to-go box from the Yellow Rose Dinner Theater. My heart and my eyes lit up when it dawned on me that I brought my goody box home Saturday night after the show which, by the way, consisted of my juicy smoked chicken breast, finger lick-in good smoked chicken (the smoked taste is even better with time); some of that, delicious cheesy baked potato casserole, slammin string beans, sweet corn and some of Sis. Kims famous baked bread with cinnamon and pineapple butter. You know the deal, I had to leave room for my desert and what a variety to choose from. They were described and beautifully displayed by our waiters and waitresses, I chose the carrot cake this time, oh and btw this was my eighth time going to see a show in four months. This show was especially special because my daughter was a part of the cast. My Muffin/Simonica played a bratty, seriously attitudinal teenager and I mean she played it. For those of you who know Simonica, no problem with that part, she brought tears to my eyes and once again I was the proud momma. I had seen some shows in years past, but the acting that came from each of these characters was phenomenal. I just thank God for all my blessings and I truly thank God for my daughter. Thank you Yellow Rose Dinner Theater for being there for us in the community. With a heart filled with gratitude, know that we love you and thank God for each and every one of you.
