I just took a dozen eggs to one of my older neighbors. He brings me tomatoes and such in the Summer so I started thinking turnabout is fair play. Anyway, told him I was raising chickens and wanted to give him some eggs. We got to talking and he commented he hadnt heard a rooster crowing so didnt know I had some chickens. I explained that I do not have a rooster, just my 6 girls. We exchanged pleasantries and I headed home. My phone rings and it is my old neighbor. He says, Im not dumb or stupid or anything but I got to ask you, if you aint got no rooster, how are you getting eggs? I giggled and had to explain to him about the birds and the bees. He said, Well, I never in my life would have thought you could get a egg without a rooster. Again, I am just laughing to no end. Silly ole fella made my day.
