I just voted, a block from home. Went in, no ID was asked for, just name, address, and birth date. They had the relevant information in front of them on their screen. Anyone eligible to vote should have no more than that in order to vote. The ballot was yet another new format, but quick and easy to learn. At the end were incredible proposed amendments to the state constitution - yes or no on: an amendment to prohibit any voting laws that might make it harder for any group of people to vote; extra funding for educational programs for impoverished children and english as a second language children; requiring insurance to cover all medications including birth control and womens health items. There were many more, all amazingly counter to the programs that Bruce Rauner would put on the next ballot. Voter suppression, suppression of womens rights, the rights of the poor and immigrants. If the Republicans take this state over, under the fascist Rauner, we will become another Texas and Wisconsin. Rauner has stated he will use Scott Walker as his model for governing. He is a creepy billionaire with a long history of criminal business practices in his background, another Rick Scott who would destroy the Land of Lincoln.
