I just want to make a statement of fact. My mailbox, facebook thread and voice mail have been over loaded with political announcements that are encroaching on the line of acceptability. Some are on the extreme left and some are on the extreme right. FYI. Im more in the middle. If you want to reach me, behave like a normal, kind, thoughtful human being. You can not frightening me or intimidate me. You can not buy me or shame me. In trying these tactics you are only proving yourself to be unworthy of the office that you seek or at the very least, uneducated about the issues real Americans are dealing with. Just stop. Seriously. Heres the honest truth. Republicans understand foreign policy and war. They are NORMALLY your go to party when it comes to issues like border control. Democrats, you have the market cornered on social issues. Things like marriage equality, womens rights (birth control) and kick butt in supporting the arts. Just once, I would love to hear a politician acknowledge that BOTH parties posses the ability to solve most of the issues we face, but they are entirely too arrogant to work with each other to do so. At least be a tad bit honest. Trust me when I say, you are not only driving people out of your own party, but together you are driving people away from politics on the whole. The next time I get a phone call, Im programing my phone to call you back every 5 minutes with a pre-recorded message of my own. You will receive information such as my grocery list, my weekly to-dos and of course a blow by blow of the happenings of my day. For every bit of mail you send, I will in turn send you 5 letters that include the current Walmart advertisement, copies of the check loan incentive mailers I receive and a list of local pharmacies. For every Facebook post that appears on my thread, you will receive one of kittens playing, a baby laughing and cute cartoon picture. Please use this information as a study guide. Familiarize yourself with the cost of living, the struggles I face to run a household and the financial impact your opinions have on my family. Understand that my Facebook is used to stay in touch with friends and family, laugh at cute and funny videos and in general, escape from the mess that you are helping to create. A waste of time you say? I beg to differ. Reading your ads and listening to your speeches are, in fact, more of a waste of my time because very little of what you say is honest or helpful.
