I just want to say a huge thankyou for all the love and support you have all been sending in regard to Wills early entry into the Chef world. Poor little mite was making himself the milkshake without my knowledge as he didnt want to hurt my feelings - I was fasting for a day surgery procedure which has now been postponed. We are both home now finally. Will is fine, in an occasional bit of pain but more annoyed at the fact that he has to learn how to co-ordinate his left hand (being right handed sucks). The surgeons did a great job and were able to save/reattach 95% of the skin on his index finger. He has suffered permanent nerve damage though - how much is yet to be determined. As for future pencil grip etc - they are hoping that because he is a child he will be resilient - and Will being who he is, will adapt fine. As for me I am purely exhausted, shocked beyond belief and am now starting to panic on how I am going to keep this child indoors and occupied for the next couple of weeks. He is meant to be still and keep his arm elevated. Unfortunately Will is the child that would rather be outside getting dirty then inside watching TV. Even using the Ipad or computer is a challenge for him.
