I just want to take a few minutes and introduce myself and explain a little about Mini Miracles for those who may not know. On May 16th 2010, my son Mickey was born and shortly thereafter we learned he had survived a prenatal stroke. I, my husband and our entire family was devastated. We didnt know what to do, where to turn, we were told our son would not live because his brain damage was so severe. Thankfully, our son Michael aka Mickey (pictured below in October) is thriving and doing well. He completes his first year of preschool tomorrow, and though he has some delays he is the light of our lives. We started Mini Miracles as a way to raise awareness about pediatric strokes and all proceeds we raise throughout the year are donated to local families or organizations to help with differently-abled children like our Mickey. I also want to thank Kristi Moore and everyone involved in this event for reaching out to us the way you all have. It means alot that youre willing to help by setting this all up. Due to some personal circumstances, this most likely will be our last event for the year so I hope to go out with a bang!!
