I just want to testify that Jesus Christ gives me purpose. Before I travelled to NZ I was struggling to know what purpose I was studying the Bible for, where were all my efforts ultimately leading me to? I felt I was trying to measure myself without a measuring tape with no purpose or direction from start to finish. Jesus touched me this weekend in NZ through His word and fellowship with the brethren I found the ultimate purpose was to serve HIM. As I laboured with my brothers and sisters this weekend just on Sunday night I found myself with eyes wide open as if I was saying, This is it! THIS is what its all about! Fulfilling the great commission of making disciples and teaching people of all nations, baptising them in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. Ive written sermons about our created purpose being for His pleasure, to serve Him and obey His Word for His Word is life and somewhere in my walk I lost my bearings but I stand before you all to say that there is hope. For those struggling with thoughts of suicide there is hope. Those victims of child abuse there is hope. Those struggling with depression and anxiety there is hope. Jesus loves you all, doesnt matter what you have done. Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
