I just want to truly thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for their thoughts and prayers for me and my family and mostly for my mother who went home to be with the lord this evening a little past 5pm. We are heart broken as a family from diagnosis on Sept the 2nd to just under 3 months today. The disease, pulmonary fibrosis is different for every person. In my moms case, it was very aggressive. We had so much hope in a transplant to prolong her life, it just wasnt meant to be. The disease weakened her too fast and took her past the stage where a transplant would have been safe. My sisters, my niece and two nephews and nephews wife, my mothers sister and brother and his wife, as well as several good friends, Dorothy and Paul Jordan, Madeliene Knight and Rick Vélez were all present as we removed life support. We had the most wonderful nurse, Laura, who we met our first day in ICU who actually asked to be with us during this time. It is a very sad and difficult time for us but I did want to thank each and everyone of you for your kindness.
