I just wanted to give a quick update after all my tests and dr. visits this week. My original surgery has healed completely and I am in great spirits. My drs. have decided to do a Vats (laproscopic) lung resection. That means they will cut a v wedge out of my upper lobe which will remove 2 small spots on my left lung. They will also put in a chest port for the chemotherapy during the surgery which is going to happen next week. I had a pet scan today to make sure the cancer has not spread throughout my body. The lung biopsy takes about a week for the diagnosis to come back. The plan is to have this procedure and soak up every second of sunshine while I heal. Then we will begin the rounds of chemotherapy. Thanks again for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. I am so very blessed.
