I just wanted to give credit where credit is due. Congratulations to the Crab Orchard Kennel Club on setting the bar high for other kennel clubs. There was no stone unturned in making sure that every single exhibitor felt welcomed. On a hot, humid day the building was cool, they offered free iced cold water for everyone. Ahhhhmazing and appreciated. Every possible health testing was available, at a reasonable price. Every morning members of the club walked through the grooming area to make sure we wanted for nothing. There was a questionnaire on every grooming table looking for ideas to improve their show. Honestly - dont fix it- its NOT broken. The time and effort to properly educate John Q. Public about the importance of a good breeder, was astounding and well recieved. The club members - all of them went out of their way to make us feel welcome - from the gentleman parking motorhomes to the lady at the raffle table to the show chair- everyone was kind. They smiled all darn day. I, along with a lot of others, could learn from these folks. Their show is already on my schedule for next year. I for one will never miss this show.
