I just wanted to let you all know that our organization isnt just for veterans. Weve made a deliberate effort to include our heroes at home. Fire police first responders and medical personnel. We know you guys defend us everyday and see the worst of the worst. I come from the medical field myself. If you want to apply for a service dog, go to blackstarservicedogs.org and apply. There is no cost to you ever. Were different than most organizations. We are a true non profit but we use highly skilled working dogs and the best trainers in the world for these specific breeds. We also feature a post on our fb page called a hero shares his/her story. Its completely anonumous. We use a photo of whatever youd like and a small blurp about how post traumatic stress effects your life. If you have a service dog, tell us about it. If not, thats ok too. We just want to raise awareness that this isnt just a veteran issue.
