I just wanted to make sure that this gets to the people I know that live in Brooklyn. I had the opportunity to attend the first lecture by Rabbi Laskin last week at the Brighton 4th Jewish Center. I met Rabbi Laskin by chance and was captivated by his modern outlook on the oldest religion, his humor, wit, and intellect. I have been asking Rabbi Laskin to come to a shul in Brooklyn for several months and this Yom Kippur, I attended Yitzkor service with my dear friend. We both lost a parent. This was the first time since I was 13, that I felt that I had found a Rabbi that can make the young and the old listen intent. I really encourage those who can to attend. The lectures are free and are therapy for the soul. For those who have never been to this center, you will be surprised at how nice it is.
