I just wanted to say a sincere thank you to everyone who posted comments of empathy & sorrow at the passing of Eeeeek! the cat; it definitely helped ease the pain. She really was quite special. I remember an afternoon not long after I adopted her as a baby, hearing the screech of brakes & the sound of smashing glass, right outside my house. Racing outside thinking there had been a car accident, I was confronted by a milk delivery truck that had slammed on its brakes to avoid (or so the driver thought) hitting Eeeeek, when she ran out in front of the truck. Searching for a sign of my newly adopted kitten, I looked to the rear of the truck, where Eeeeek was tucking into several broken bottles of cream. To this day, Im convinced that this near miss was the result of a carefully planned ambush. ☺️
