I just wanted to share a little heart warming story with you all. On Sunday...my friend got a call from another friend that there was a kitten outside her door crying in the freezing cold. My friend immediately went to pick him up. He just wanted love..he purred and cried and snuggled with her. She fosters dogs and has 3 big dogs at home and this little kitten cuddled with the dogs..like he was right at home. Her children called him muffin My friend called me and said something isnt right with his one hip...it sticks up. Im gonna take him to Ostranders in the morning and have it checked out. Wellll long story short. Dr. Carla said someone has badly beaten this kitten...2 broken femurs, one totally crushed hip joint..the other hip joint was not good either and a broken pelvis.....a teeny tiny 9 week old kitten that didnt even cry in pain. We were heartbroken. The thought of having to euthanize a 9 week old kitten was crushing..............until..................the vet called and an Annonymous donor stepped forward and is paying for the surgery!!! Muffin underwent major surgery today to repair his 2 broken femurs and attach the ligamints to the hips as they will grow their own somewhat hip joint over time. Muffin came through the surgery very well and is doing fantastic all because one person saved his life. Here are some pics of Muffin...going from the time he was found up until his x ray...will later post his post op pics and keep you all updated. Thank you to the Angel who saved his life.
