I just wanted to share my current experience with CGC, as Im still - TopicsExpress

I just wanted to share my current experience with CGC, as Im still waiting to receive a few comics I submitted back in May. Basically, my stuff is just sitting there waiting to be shipped and no one knows why. I sent them an email via their website since a message wont go through on Facebook. All I can say is if youre thinking about having some books graded, go with CBCS or PGX. Im sure Im not the only one whos had a lousy experience with CGC, but mine in particular is utterly pathetic and not once did anyone apologize or contact me. I understand that the individual running the official CGC Facebook page may not be in a management position, however emailing via the contact form on the CGC website does no good as I have never received a response of any kind when using that form. I submitted several comics back in May of this year and I was under the impression I paid online when I made the submission. Apparently, that was not the case. I was also under the impression and was patient for the six months youve had my comics because I assumed, due to convention season, turn around times would be slower. Perfectly understandable. Six months I waited without a word from a CGC representative. No email. No phone call. But I was patient. I heard turn around times were sometimes slower than listed on the CGC website. No worries. November 12th 2014 came and I decided to call to inquire about my comics. Turns out that they were never paid for, even though, like I said, I was under the impression that I had paid for them. Now, not ONCE at any point during the last six months did anyone at CGC feel it necessary to contact me about payment so that I could receive my comics back. No email. No phone call. The individual I spoke with, Jose Rodriguez, accepted my payment information (again), processed it and emailed me an invoice. He also told me that my comics will be shipped out within 24 hours. (That was 13 days ago, mind you) So, again, out of curiosity, I call CGC to find out whats going on. The individual I spoke to said that my comics had in fact NOT been shipped out and he had no idea as to why. I explained to him that they had been sitting there, finished, since June (per what Mr. Rodriguez had stated) and that I was told theyd be shipped within 24 hours. Obviously that didnt happen. I then requested shipment tracking information once they were sent and the individual said he would call me back once he had tracking information for my property. Not once was there ever an apology or an offer to discount or refund a portion of the $100+ I paid for your service. The absolute least thing such an esteemed company with the reputation it has can offer in a situation like this is a simple apology. Your employees dropped the ball. More than twice as far as I can tell, and I highly doubt Im the only person this has happened to. Its absolutely absurd and theres no excuse for it. My comics sat at your grading establishment ready to be shipped back to me for several months and no one cared enough to do anything about it. This email isnt to rant and rave but just to inform you of my particularly lousy experience with your company and to let you know that I will never be using your services again. I will also inform my friends and others in groups I belong to on Facebook of my experience in hopes to caution them and maybe think twice about choosing a company whos customer service is severely lacking. I also hope that this email finds its way to someone higher up on the food chain there at CGC and opens some eyes so that instances like this dont happen anymore.
