I just watched Twister with the kids. And the thing is...I watched it with my dad on our 380 acre farm out in Butler County where I could actually see the storms come in and it actually connected me to a higher power seeing those clouds and bolts come in. We would have to button down the house, sheds, get the animals inside, and prepare for nature and her power...it always left me feeling humble after she passed. Well...Eddie Van Halen did a song to the soundtrack of Twister called Respect the Wind. And I have to say...no only does it give me the chills as a person, and a guitarist...but I remember looking into my dads eyes out on the farm as we listened and watched this same movie...and him being the guitarist he was who inspired me to be who I am today...I get a eerie feeling Ive never felt before between Eddie, the movie Twister, being a Kansan, and my Dad....that is a serious combo. If you can stand it...from start to finish is an emotional roller coaster...for me its almost far to much to bare... youtu.be/PxmSAAebKcE
