I just watched a movie that was, ok, by any standard. But within this movie; like many I have seen; there were a cpl moving moments. One of these moments 2as when a soldier who had lost a leg ran into one of the main characters. He had such respect for the man that he insisted that he be raised to his one good leg in order to salute him. the ither moment came at the end of the movie when the character showed this honor also insisted he be raised to his feet; even though wounded; so that he coukd salute the son who had shown bravery and character; fully deserving the respect and honor of this gesture. It is not the salute from my peers that I so greatly desire from this short life. It is the opportunity to gaze upon my children with respect and pride. Knowing that something I have shown or said to them has helped them to become worthy of respect. That honor and integrity guides them because I have taught them the importance of honor, integrity and respect. There are those who seek to keep my children from me and to villanize me in their eyes. I have so much to teach from my own failures and mistakes. From my own pain and misfortune. I pray to God that H e does not let those with vindictive hearts and self righteous motivations keep my children from seeing the truth or from learning what God has shown me to be true!
