I just watched the news this evening and I am so GRIEVED by how three known billionaires are each pledging $100 million dollars to buy democratic and republican candidates. We just had a shooting at Fort Hood this week as a result of insufficient mental health care for our soldiers who statistically 1 in 4 have mental health disorders. It is my opinion that if we as a society would become proactive and offer mental health care for everyone, we would have less violence, fewer addictions, less abuse, less health care costs, and fewer inmates in jails which results in less cost to local, state and federal jurisdictions in our already over crowded prisons. $300 million dollars would go so far in providing much needed mental health care, helping those in poverty with food insecurities and provide shelters for the homeless. What will it take to transform this system?
