I just watched this and was horrified!! If you are a parent or a grandparent, this is a MUST WATCH. Please, please PLEASE......EDUCATE your children/grandchildren to RESPECT a dogs space. This video is NOT funny. Its NOT CUTE!!! But it is a GREAT tool to educate a dogs warning/stress signals when he/she has tolerated enough. Please dont ever assume oh not MY dog. The bottom line is NO dog can be trusted....EVER!!! The dog in this video tried once to pull himself away, and the parents continued to encourage the childs treatment of the dog. The dog gives off not just several, but MULTIPLE warning signs that he wanted to be left alone. When you hear about a dog attack in the news, we only hear about the attack. We never hear what prompted the attack. When a dog attacks, we are so quick to discipline the dog. No one looks at the whole situation and thinks, well WHY did the dog attack? So many people say if a dog attacked my kid, I would get rid of the dog, or beat it to a pulp, or have it destroyed. Dogs and kids can live together. But its the KIDS that have to be taught WHEN/HOW to respect a dogs space. This video could have had a horrible outcome. But for now, it didnt. I shudder to think what could happen down the line. Dogs cant verbalize for themselves that they are being bothered. It is up to us as their owners, their pack leader, their family to READ THEIR SIGNALS and INTERVENE!!!! Dont let something like this become a tragedy!!
