I just went out to leave and there was 6 goats out. I had let Jack ( Jack Russel terrior house mate) out with me and I almost put him back in. Im glad I didnt! I walked over to the gate in the orchard and Jack ran 4 of them in while I held the gate. 2 of them split off another direction. I hollered to jack to go get them and he actually ran around them and they started running towards me and the gate. One of them jumped up on the picnic table and the other ran into the pasture. I had to go over and spook it off and when it jumped down, Jack went after it. It ran over towards the barn and jumped up on the over-turned tractor bucket. Jack ran over there but stopped and looked at it and then at me. I just told him well, get him. Jack went around to the back side and made to jump up on it, the goat took off running towards me and at the last minute veared off again. Unfortunately for the goat, Jack had ran around it in that direction. So it made a quick turn and ran right towards me and the open gate. The whole time I just stood with the open gate. Jack did it all for me. It was like he knew where they were suppose to be and understood everything I said. I am stunned and amazed!!!! I always felt he would be in the way when I would have to get goats back in. I am now definately going to use him again!!!! Ok, now Im off to college for another long day.
