I just wrote to President Obama: Im a democrat who voted for you twice and Im very disappointed with your lack of a strong stand for our ally Israel. Kerry insulted the Israelis by negotiating with Turkey and Qatar, both nearly enemies of Israel to try to get a ceasefire. You have not stood up for Israels right to defend itself from continuing terrorism from Hamas. Hamas is regarded as a terrorist group by the United States, along with Hezbolah and ISSIS. Unless you want to see these fanatics take over the whole Middle East, you must take a stand and weigh in forcefully for Israel in the International Community. The Conservatives have already taken your Bully Pulpit away with intense support for the Israelis. The U.S. screwed up badly in Iraq, where awful events and slaughter are taking place. We created the Iraqi situation and now we can do nothing about it. Please dont let Israel take sanitys last stand in the Middle East alone. The US has to make it very clear that Islamic Terrorism has to stop and that Israel, the only democracy in the region has to survive and thrive. Im starting to agree with my conservative friends, that President Obama leaves a lot to be desired as a leader and its disappoints me, because we need a strong rational leader and he is not doing the job. There is too much trouble in the World, particularly the Middle East and the world needs strong leadership from the Democratic side. Europe certainly is not providing anything but chaos. It really leaves the US and Israel to stop the threat of creating a new extremely repressive Islamic Sultanate throughout a large part of the world.
