I keep being asked why I watch and share the new, because it is so - TopicsExpress

I keep being asked why I watch and share the new, because it is so depressing. My answer is this: If you are a child of God, it shouldn’t be depressing, because everything that is going on in this world just lets me know that Jesus’ return for all those who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior could happen. The reason I know this is what God’s word says. In Matthew 24:3 the disciples asked Jesus what would be the sign of His coming and the end of the age. In verses 4-14 And Jesus and answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars, and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines pestilences and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you and you be hated by all nations fro My name’s sake. And many will be offended , will betray one another, and hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceived many. And because of lawlessness will abound, the love many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations and then the end will come. In Matthew 24 verse 36 Jesus says that only His Father in heaven is the only one who knows the year, month, day and hour His return but He has given us the signs so we know that His return is close. The verses above are happening right now, so we know that His return for all Christians both dead and living can happen at any time. Jesus says that are to be watching and waiting. Matthew 24: Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour you do not expect
