I keep hearing a resounding battle cry of #JusticeForDualPeppy tonight, and for good reason. Late last week, 12 dead horses, and 8 barely alive were found in Black Forest. I happened to recognize one as the awesome Dual Peppy, and alerted the media and his previous owners/trainers/brokers. In a whirlwind weekend, after numerous interviews, and more than half a million people showed their support, we convinced local law enforcement that these horses they claimed were in no immediate danger and left with their owners, needed to be seized. It was the voice of YOU, that made this happen. Half a million strong. Stating that it wasnt ok, for Dual Peppy, or any horse to be in this situation. I am exhausted, but feel a need to thank numerous people, who I cannot name here, for it would be a page long. But you all did great, and the last minute video by Laura Hoff-Easom, was beyond spectacular, getting to see those horses leave that hell hole, was beyond special. The AQHA community, along with all horse lovers, impressed me. Which is hard to do. Now, we all need to continue that pressure, pressure for charges, pressure for conviction, stiffer penalties, and pressure for the horses to be allowed to return to their previous owners/breeders/trainers, where they can live out their lives in peace. So continue the good fight friends. Justice for Dual Peppy, and the survivor seven.
