I keep my prayer life fairly private, but I committed to pray for Chris Picco and his family. If you havent heard of the Picco family, Ashley Picco died suddenly of an unknown cause in her sleep while 24 weeks pregnant with their son, Lennon James. Lennon was delivered via C section, and Chris, a musician, was recorded singing blackbird by the Beatles to try and bring comfort to his son who would later also pass away. The video went viral. But that doesnt even begin to tell the story of the impact this story had on not only me but hundreds of thousands of others. Listen to the grace and mercy that Chris speaks with. I know that God did not compose this. This is not … God had nothing to do with this, declared Picco. But I can see Him, tears streaming down his face, beginning to compose, one note at a time, the most beautiful melody that anyone has ever heard. And I dont know what that sounds like, but thats the God that I believe in, he ended before seguing into a beautiful rendition of This is My Fathers World.
