I keep reading evangelical complaints about the Noah movie. Often they complain that there is an over-emphasis on mans lack of care for the animal creation, and that this wasnt a reason for the flood. This is just people not knowing their Bible. Before Genesis 9, men were not permitted to eat meat. Adam had been given a mission to take dominion over the world, turning wild beasts into domestic animals. Instead, mankind himself became a wild beast. I imagine that lack of care towards the creation did play into Gods words that the whole earth had become corrupt and violent before Him. Come on, guys. Read the Bible (the whole Bible), not the childrens story-book version. The Noah movie has some pretty fantastic biblical-theological insights in it.
