I keep seeing statuses complaining about the cold and the wind and the rain... Just a little FYI to make you all a little happier, June the 21st was the winter solstice.. I know winter lasts until August, July is the coldest month us Melbournites have, the beginning of Autumn is always crisp and October is our wettest month BUT the solstice is the shortest day (of daylight) of the year after which the days start getting longer and there is more and more daylight {&if we are lucky, sunshine} as we move on our journey towards Summer, only 5mths away... So for those who like me equate sunshine with happiness, enjoy the small moments you get of her love each day and recognise that winter is such a beautiful time, to rest your heart, to rest your soul, to clear your mind, to bunker down, to hibernate, to snuggle up, to contemplate and to grow your wings.. ☀️❤️
