I keep seeing these news reports about Chicago and I really want the reporters to be more accurate. I was just in Chicago, and no one is running or ducking for cover. The majority of these shootings are coming from the Englewood neighborhood on the south side. The majority of these shootings are gang related deaths, drug related, and casualties being people that were standing nearby getting stray bullets. Chicago is not under siege. You can use google and go to maps. Type in Chicago shootings and click the decrease button. The red dots are concentrated in one neighborhood within 20 minutes of each other. Too much emotion and not enough facts. Also, if one more ignorant person tries to draw a parallel between the hate crimes being done all over Florida and a drug war...I am going to lose it...Not only is it ignorant, but it is not factual. Why? Deaths occur all the time in white neighborhoods over meth houses, sophisticated prostitution rings, and gang wars as well. I do not see white people making headlines news taking their neighborhoods back so why in the world are black people required to do the work of the police department. That sounds like the ultimate double standard to me. Get some sense in your head and stop spreading foolishness...
