I keep wavering between buying the Bible, Quran and the various Hindu texts, but I keep being deterred by the fact that the vast majority of believers dont read their holy books past the first chapter, then, for the rest, rely on their pastors teachings. It all seems like a big waste of time to be honest, because their faith isnt based on their book, its based on what they think their book is like and how they feel about god.
