I knew it would happen eventually. Biking in today on the Murdock - TopicsExpress

I knew it would happen eventually. Biking in today on the Murdock Canal I approached a sleepy little road it crosses and there was a car where there rarely are any. No problem. I hit the breaks hard and stopped. I started to fall over. Suddenly, my feet were frantically trying to get out of the clips, however, the brain was sending no instructions on how to do this properly because it was going, Arrrroooooogah, Arrrrooooooogah, All Stations. All Stations. Prepare for impact. This is not a drill. Prepare for im . . . as I lay on the ground my brain then activated the endocrine/neuronal humiliation complex and bathed my conscious experience with sheepish embarrassment. Luckily, the years of running on pavement that ruined my knee also endowed me with the bone density of a Neanderthal and I was no worse for wear.
